Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids
Support clients with meals, feeding, and hydration
Administer medication (where trained and required)
Offer companionship and emotional support
Help with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
Follow individual care plans and keep accurate records
Monitor and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors
Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
Ensure a safe and hygienic environment at all times
Requirements:
Genuine desire to care for others
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and reliable approach to work
Basic literacy and numeracy
Physically fit for manual handling duties
Desirable:
Previous experience in a care setting
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centered care
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for community/home care roles)
